ETL-2 -
A Path Towards Growth and Progress
In keeping with its spirit of
being a pioneer of several initiatives in the industrial sector. TCIL's
ETL-2 project is well under construction and should be completed by
April 28,2008, as scheduled. ETL-2 would have the capacity of 200000
Ton per annum, The State-of-the-Art new combination line with
Electrolytic Tinning & Tin Free Steel production facility is expected to
enable TCIL to more than double its capacity to 380000 MT with a
wider range of product offerings both in coil & sheet form for the
discerning customers, primarily in the growing domestic and
international markets and facilitate in consolidating its undisputed
status as the leader in the domestic market and emerge as a world class
regional player.
The ETL-2 also help TCIL to strengthen its position in
the international markets and reach out to newer destinations.

Work is
going on full swing and all efforts to meet the
deadline are being made. the basic infrastructure is
already in place under the expert guidance of Mr. R
P Singh, VP,ES & P, Tata Steel, Mr. Hemant Gupta, a
Tata Steel Officer, and TCIL team members, Mr. N K
Sinha, Mr. S K Rao and Mr. D S Chauhan, the
machineries will soon be installed.

ETL-2 being the most
recent venture of the company towards future progress and
growth, a systematized plan to facilitate its set-up, was
unfolded in a program on the CRM lawns, by Mr. R P Singh, VP, ES
& P, Tata Steel. The special plan " daily work assignment"
prepared by the company's project team under the guidance of Mr.
Bushen Raina, MD, TCIL and Mr. R P Singh. |
