National Quality Award - 1st position in Large Enterprises group
TCIL bagged the Golden Peacock National Quality
Award 1st position in Large Enterprises group conferred by Institute of Director (IOD),
New Delhi. The Golden Peacock National Quality Award, named after India's national bird
the "Peacock", is awarded every year. Each category has two awards - the Winner
and the Runners up. Each winner and runners up receives a trophy together with a
certificate. This Award by IOD was received by Mr. B. L. Raina, MD TCIL during the 14th
World Congress organized by IOD in Bangalore from 22nd to 24th January,2004. The award was
presented by the Honourable Industry Minister of Karnataka Mr. R.V.Deshpandey. This is one
of the most prestiges award in India that an Indian Company can receive. There are three
categories as detailed below :
Large Enterprises (LE) --> 251 and above
Employees
Medium Enterprises (ME) --> 51 to 250
Employees
Small Enterprises (SE) --> upto 50 employees
This award was established to promote the awareness of business excellence within the
Indian Companies.
This is given to companies who have achieved land
mark in the journey of Business Excellence.
